Romans 8:35-38
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
No matter who wins the Super Bowl, in Christ we are ALL more than conquerors. In this scripture, Paul offers a comforting promise for all Believers. The verses speak to the many hardships that Christians have always had to face throughout history, in forms such as illness, persecutions, imprisonment, and even death. In light of these challenges, it could be easy to think that Christ has abandoned us.
Paul exclaims that it is impossible to be separated from Christ, and His death is proof of His unconquerable love. God shows us how much He loves us so that we feel totally secure in Him. With His overwhelming assurances, we should never be afraid. In Christ we are super-conquerors, and His love will protect us from any forces.
